Make the group the primary object
The experience begins with who is going, what they are doing, and how they are coordinating - not with a detached directory of venues.
Founder-built nightlife product organized around friend groups, venues, and getting home
Context
Nightlife planning was fragmented across group texts, venue pages, rides, and last-minute coordination. VIPP started from a simple founder question: what if the group - the people already making the night happen - was the product's organizing object?
Product decision
Connect the full night around one social graph. Friend groups, invites, conversations, venue discovery, event details, Uber pickup, tickets, and location sharing became linked states rather than separate utilities.
Founder archive
A complete founder-built product concept spanning mobile UX/UI, social planning, event discovery, transportation, venue entry, and an early acquisition system. The archive preserves the product architecture and the implementation-era interface work as an early example of designing around real-world behavior.
Conceived and designed as an independent nightlife product.
Groups, invites, conversation, venues, rides, and entry in one flow.
An early social-product exploration before the current portfolio.
Key decisions
The experience begins with who is going, what they are doing, and how they are coordinating - not with a detached directory of venues.
Venue discovery, event detail, reservations, Uber pickup, and entry remain connected so the product can carry the night forward instead of handing users off between apps.
Friend groups, referrals, campus representatives, and milestone rewards extend the product idea into an acquisition loop that mirrors the group behavior at its center.
